I continue to be amazed at all the means by which God provides healing in the Bible. One more avenue to healing is the gift of faith. What exactly is this gift, how does it differ from the faith we have as believers, and how does it apply to healing? As a believer, we have all been given a measure of faith, as in Romans 12:3,
3 For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you.
However, this faith given us all is different from the gift of faith, given to some. This gift is a supernatural anointing by the Holy Spirit, as in 1 Corinthians 12:7-9,
7 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. … 9 to another faith by the same Spirit,
The gift provides a faith that can move mountains, as Paul indicates in 1 Corinthians 13:2,
“…and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.”
This faith moves mountains. I know some will say this passage is focusing on love, but Paul is not denying the gifts in favor of love, he is talking about your motivation when moving in the gifts. That motivation is love.
When the gift of faith is in operation, the supernatural, including healing, becomes easy. What the one ministering declares becomes so. So in Matthew 9:22, we see the gift of faith in action through Jesus, healing the blind man,
51“What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked him. The blind man said, “Rabbi, I want to see.” 52 “Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road.
Notice that with the gift of faith, there is no action needed on the part of the one being healed, other than being present. A supernatural faith from the Holy Spirit kicks in and makes the impossible possible. Send us a report if you have experienced or seen the gift of faith in action.
Does Jesus hug us from other people that is close to us thank you
