Why I Love Healing Rooms (continued)

My last post discussed why I like the Healing Rooms concept and why I believe a good Healing Room with trained and anointed workers is a great alternative for those seeking healing. I thank God for truly anointed ministers who conduct larger meetings and get powerful results. Some of these men and women have such power gifts of the Holy Spirit that some receive healing there. Many do not. The good thing though is that you can take advantage of all these alternatives.

Pray for yourself, have your elders anoint you with oil, and have your cell group agree for your healing and lay hands on you in faith. Make declarations of your healing and take communion at church or privately. Attend large healing meetings if you like, but also seek out local, trained healing teams or Healing Rooms. There are many avenues to your healing.

If I pray once for healing and it does not come immediately, is praying again or asking someone else to pray a sign of a lack of faith? Absolutely not! The only exception is if God has told you explicitly and personally (not through anyone else) not to. There are some who view asking again as a lack of faith, but this has little justification.

The two examples Jesus gave in Luke 11:5-9 and 18:1-5 show that asking repeatedly is OK and many times necessary. In Luke 11, the man persisted in asking his neighbor for bread until he got it while the widow in Luke 18 kept asking for justice until she received it. Hebrews 6:12 notes that those with faith and patience inherit the promises,

We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.

Again, in Hebrews 10: 36,

You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.

Sometimes, we have the faith, but not the perseverance. We need both. So don’t be afraid to keep asking if your first request did not result in your healing. Once you understand that it’s always God’s desire to heal you, just as Jesus healed all who came to Him, you will persist like the man who needed bread, knowing it is your Father’s will to see you well.
